Christmas gift ideas in recycled metal
Every year, it's the same question: what to put under the tree to truly delight someone, without falling back on the same old gift? What if this year you gave a one-of-a-kind piece, shaped by hand in a workshop in the Ain, from mechanical parts that have already had a first life?
At Recyclhome, Alexandre transforms brake discs, gears, engine parts and forgotten objects into lamps, sculptures and wall art. Each creation is unique, delivered with its certificate of authenticity, and tells a story. Here are our ideas for every personality.
For the mechanics and car enthusiast
Can they recognise a carburettor at first glance? Give them a work whose original parts they can guess. The Embraye ta Peugeot lamp was born from a scooter engine. The Steam Car sculpture reinvents the classic car in steampunk style. To go further, discover our 5 gift ideas for a mechanics enthusiast.
For those who love decor with character
A recycled metal lamp is both a useful object and a work of art. When lit, it creates a warm light that brings out every detail of the metal. Le Chant du coq or Le Faucon become the focal point of a living room or entrance hall. For the walls, wood and metal pieces such as Colère du tigre bring a touch that is both raw and warm.
For sports, games or music fans
Some creations pay tribute to a passion. The World Cup lamp will light up the eyes of any football lover. The chess set made of nuts will delight strategists. The life-size metal electric guitar will thrill musicians.
For children… and grown-up children
Characters from films, cartoons and video games: our pop culture collection reinvents the heroes of every generation in recycled metal. The perfect gift for those who have kept their inner child.
For a magical touch
Christmas is also the magic of lights twinkling in the night. The Locomobois lamp, a small wood and metal locomotive topped with a bulb, recalls the toy train that circled the Christmas tree. The Steam Carosse, a glowing carriage straight out of a fairy tale, gives off a soft golden light, perfect for long winter evenings. Two creations that will make young and old alike shine with wonder.
Can't decide? Give a gift card
Not sure which piece to choose? The Recyclhome gift card is available from €60 to €500 and lets the recipient choose the creation that speaks to them.
Why give a recycled metal artwork?
- It's unique: since the salvaged parts are always different, no creation exists twice.
- It's handmade in France: each piece is designed, welded and assembled by hand in our workshop in Corbonod, in the Ain.
- It's eco-friendly: nothing is bought new, everything is salvaged, transformed and enhanced.
- It's authentic: each work comes with its numbered certificate of authenticity.
- It's beautifully wrapped: your creations are carefully protected, with a gift wrapping option.
A tip: don't wait too long
Each creation is a one-of-a-kind piece: once sold, it won't come back. If a work catches your eye, better not wait until the last minute!
